Nepean Critical Care Ultrasound Course - (NCCU) - Thursday 24 and Friday 25 October - Coogee Beach, Crown Plaza Hotel, Sydney, Australia
Ultrasound is gaining an important role in the management of the acutely ill patients. It is non-invasive and can be performed rapidly. Common applications include cardio-respiratory assessments and ultrasound-guided invasive procedures such as vascular access. It is an invaluable tool in modern emergency, anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. The demand for such skills has been increasing in recent years.
The Nepean Critical Care General Ultrasound course provides specialised training in both theory and practice of critical care ultrasound. It is a 2-day course covering:
- Basic cardiac ultrasound
- Vascular ultrasound
- Lung and pleural ultrasound
- Abdominal ultrasound
The course includes pre-reading material “Critical Care Ultrasound Manual” ed. A. McLean, S. Huang. We offer a structured approach incorporating relevant theories, case presentations and hands-on training and live scanning in a workshop format to enable you to gain skills readily transferable to your department for the benefit of your patients. The faculty consists of experts in critical care ultrasound.
